The Littlebit app only counts card transactions made at merchants, in stores, online, or ATM withdrawals toward your savings. Based on these payments, the app calculates the percentage to be automatically set aside.
The following are included in savings, for example:
regular card payments for goods and services
online purchases
payments in restaurants, cafes, or supermarkets
recurring card payments (e.g., subscriptions or services such as Netflix, Spotify, etc.)
ATM withdrawals (some banks may omit ATM withdrawals – it depends on the bank’s settings whether these transactions are coded as card payments in the background or not)
All payments are counted only after they are posted to your bank account.
The following are not counted:
money transfers between your own accounts
loan or credit card repayments
credit card transactions (some banks may also include credit payments – it depends on whether the bank shares these as card payments via PSD2 or labels them only as credit transactions)
blocked or canceled payments that the bank ultimately does not post
Littlebit only tracks transactions that the bank marks as “card transactions” and that have been posted. Only then will they appear in the app and count toward your savings.
If you feel that a payment has not been counted, check whether:
it has actually been posted by the bank,
it was made from the account you have connected to the app,
and it was made by card, not by transfer.
If the payment is still not included in your savings, write to us here. We will be happy to help you verify and resolve the situation.
