Generally about cards and bank accounts at Littlebit

Modified on Wed, 29 Oct at 8:19 PM

The Littlebit app works with two basic sources: a payment card and a bank account.

Each has a different role in the app, but together they ensure that your Bitcoin savings work accurately, securely, and automatically.

Payment card

Serves as a source of funds for purchasing Bitcoin. The app only uses it when the amount saved exceeds a certain threshold (CZK 350) and Bitcoin is purchased automatically.

  • Money is never deducted on an ongoing basis or outside of this moment.

  • Payments are made through a certified and highly secure payment service provider.

  • Card details are not stored in the Littlebit app; they are protected in the provider's system.

Bank account

Is used exclusively to read information about your card payments so the app can automatically calculate the percentages to be set aside.

  • Access is via an interface approved under the European PSD2 regulation, which ensures a secure connection between your bank and the app.

  • You always give your consent to connect for 90 days, after which the app will prompt you to renew it.

  • Littlebit does not have access to your balances, transfers, or other sensitive data – only to information about card transactions.

  • Littlebit does not have the ability to send or initiate payments from your account; it only obtains information about card payments once they are posted.

The card and account are essential components that work together to enable automatic savings.
The account helps calculate your savings, and the card ensures the actual purchase of Bitcoin.
