Which bank accounts I can/cannot use?

Modified on Wed, 29 Oct at 8:20 PM

The Littlebit app supports most commonly used bank accounts held in the Czech Republic.

A connected account in the app serves only as a source of information about your card payments. The app cannot do anything else with it. The following rules generally apply to accounts:

Accounts you can use

  • Current personal accounts held at banks listed when attempting to connect an account, i.e., most banks operating on the Czech market.

  • Accounts that you own (held in your name; accounts for which you are only an authorized user cannot be used).

  • Accounts in Czech korunas or accounts that allow conversion to CZK (the Littlebit app currently only works with CZK).

  • Accounts for which you use a debit card.

  • The Littlebit app draws information about card transactions from your account. It is therefore necessary to use an account on which card transactions occur.
  • The card you use to pay from that account must be a debit card in order for the payments to appear in the app. Most banks do not share credit card payments via PSD2 connections (these are not payments in the true sense of the word, but credit withdrawals, so information about credit payments is not subject to the banks' obligation to share via PSD2).
  • You can connect as many accounts as you wish. We recommend connecting at least the account from which you make the most debit card transactions.

Accounts that cannot be used

  • Accounts with banks that are not listed in the list of available banks when connecting an account (e.g., Partners Bank or Trinity Bank).

  • Accounts linked to a credit card instead of a debit card.

  • Accounts owned by someone else (legal entity, family members, etc.), accounts for which you are an authorized user, not the owner in whose name the account is held.

  • Accounts in currencies other than CZK.

  • Accounts without direct access via internet banking.

  • Accounts held outside supported countries (currently only the Czech Republic), with the exception of certain banks that are adapted for this, such as Revolut.

If you are unsure whether your account is supported or if you are unable to connect, please contact us here. We will be happy to verify whether your account can be connected to the app and help you set everything up correctly.
