What saving limits exist?

Modified on Tue, 2 Dec at 6:26 PM

The Littlebit app has operational and security limits that determine how many Bitcoin purchases can be processed within one day.

The maximum limit is 5 savings (Bitcoin purchases) within 24 hours.

How it works in practice:

  • If 5 savings are completed within 24 hours, the app keeps collecting your settled card payments as usual.
  • If a 6th saving is triggered, the system will pause saving for 24 hours.

What happens after 24 hours:

  • Saving automatically resumes.
  • The app then processes the savings that did not fit into the previous 24-hour window.
  • If 5 or fewer savings occur after resuming, everything continues normally.
  • If a 6th saving is triggered again, saving will once again be paused for 24 hours.
  • This cycle repeats until all accumulated amounts that exceeded the saving milestone are converted into Bitcoin.

Important note:
All accumulated amounts from card payments will eventually be converted into Bitcoin, except for payments that your bank settles during the 24-hour period when saving is paused. Payments settled during this time cannot be included in your saving, because the saving process is temporarily inactive. Counting payments in the saving retrospectively is not possible.

If you believe a payment should have been included in your saving but wasn’t, please contact us here and we will be happy to help. In your message, please, include:

  • the email you use in the Littlebit app

  • the date and approximate amount of the payment

  • the merchant where the payment took place

  • the type of card used (credit/debit card)

  • a proof of payment – a confirmation from your bank showing the transaction (banks usually call this Payment confirmation, Transaction detail, Card payment confirmation, or similar). This document can be found in your internet banking or mobile app of your bank.

This information allows us to locate the transaction and verify whether it was correctly received from your bank and technically eligible to be included in bank, so we can elp you efficiently.
