The Littlebit app counts only card transactions toward savings. These include card payments made at merchants (in-store or online) as well as ATM withdrawals. Based on these transactions, the app calculates the percentage that is automatically set aside.
Transactions that are included in savings:
regular card payments for goods and services
online purchases
payments in restaurants, cafes, or supermarkets
recurring card payments (e.g., subscriptions or services such as Netflix, Spotify, etc.)
ATM withdrawals (with some banks, ATM withdrawals may not be included – this depends on whether the bank technically classifies these transactions as card payments in the data shared via PSD2)
All transactions are counted only after they have been posted to your bank account.
Transactions that are not included:
transfers between your own accounts
loan repayments or credit card repayments
credit card transactions (in some cases, credit card payments may appear - this depends on whether the bank shares them as card transactions via PSD2 or classifies them purely as credit transactions)
blocked or cancelled payments that are never posted by the bank
Littlebit only tracks transactions that the bank classifies as “card transactions” and that have been officialy posted. Only then do they appear in the app and count toward your savings.
If you believe a payment has not been included, please check whether:
it has actually been posted by your bank,
it was made from a bank account connected in the app,
it was made using a card {not a transfer]
If the payment is still not reflected in your savings, please contact us here. We’ll be happy to review the situation with you.
