Can I Pause or Stop My Savings? How Does It Work?

Modified on Sun, 1 Mar at 5:20 PM

Yes, you can pause or completely stop your savings at any time directly in the app. Littlebit gives you full control over when and how you want to save.

There are two ways to pause your savings:

  1. In the Overview tab

    • In the gray “Savings amount” field, toggle the switch to the left.

    • The app will ask you to confirm that you want to stop saving.

    • Select “Stop saving”.

  2. In the Savings tab

    • At the bottom of the screen, toggle the switch to the left.

    • Confirm by selecting “Stop saving.”

After pausing, savings stop immediately. The app will no longer process new transactions or calculate savings percentages from them. All previously accumulated amounts remain stored and will be ready if you decide to continue later.

There are two ways to resume savings:

  1. In the Overview tab

    • Toggle the switch in the grey “Savings Amount” field to the right.

  2. In the Savings tab

    • At the bottom of the screen, slide the black arrow in the green box to the right.

That’s it - your savings will continue automatically from that moment onward.

Pausing your savings will stop them, but this can always be reversed. If you decide to start again, simply log into the app and restart your savings.

The app will continue to have access to your bank account via PSD2 until the 90-day consent expires, but it will ignore all transactions during the pause and will not calculate savings from them.

Similarly, it will still have access to your card through the payment gateway provider, but no payments will be made unless you restart your savings and exceed the CZK 350 milestone.

Alternatively, after stopping your savings, you can remove your payment card and bank account in Settings → My Cards or Settings → Bank Accounts. If you later decide to resume saving, you will need to add them again.

If you decide to completely stop using the Littlebit app, this means deleting your account. This requires several steps, such as withdrawing any accumulated Bitcoin. If you wish to delete your account, you can find the procedure here.
