The Littlebit app is intended exclusively for adult users (18+) who successfully complete identity verification and meet the legal requirements for using financial services.
Littlebit does not allow the creation of an independent child account or maintaining savings directly in a child's name. This is because it is a regulated investment service that can only be used by adults.
However, you can save for your children indirectly through your own account in the Littlebit app, and you can do so in two ways:
- Save from your own card payments and gift the accumulated funds to your child later.
- the Littlebit account is held in your name as a verified user,
- the funds being saved come from your bank account and your payment card,
- you decide how to use the saved funds (for example, you can transfer them to your child over time)
- Save from payments made with your child's authorized user card (disponent card).
- if your child has an authorized user card connected to your bank account, you can also save from payments made with this card,
- the Littlebit account is held in your name as a verified user,
- the app tracks payments made with the child's authorized user card connected to your bank account,
- when the saved amount crosses the milestone, the app automatically carries out the saving transfer.
In all cases, the Littlebit account, the connected bank account, and the payment card must be held by an adult who has successfully completed identity verification.
From the app's perspective, this is therefore your personal savings, which you can later gift to your children whenever you see fit.
