What Cards Can I Connect to the App and Which Ones Are Not Supported?

Modified on Thu, 26 Feb at 11:52 PM

The Littlebit app supports most commonly used bank accounts and payment cards issued in the Czech Republic.

In the app, cards serve as the source of funds for purchasing Bitcoin when a saving milestone is reached. Information about card transactions is obtained from connected bank accounts

The following rules apply:

Cards that can be used

  • The card must always be your own payment card, issued to a bank account of which you are the owner

  • The first Bitcoin purchase must be made using a debit card linked to the bank account connected to the Littlebit app. This is a mandatory account verification step required by the regulator.

  • Subsequent payments may also be made using a credit card, provided that the card is yours and is issued to a bank account of which you are the owner.

Cards that cannot be used

  • Cards that are not accepted by the payment gateway through which you connect your card in the Littlebit app (for example, unsupported card types such as American Express).

  • A credit card cannot be used for the first Bitcoin purchase. It may be used for all subsequent payments.

If you are unsure whether your card is supported, or if you are experiencing difficulties connecting it, please contact us here. We will be happy to verify whether your card can be connected to the app and help you set everything up correctly.
