How Do I Disconnect My Bank Account?

Modified on Sun, 1 Mar at 3:41 PM

By disconnecting your bank account from the Littlebit app, you revoke the app’s access to card transaction data from that account. If this was your only connected account, Bitcoin savings will no longer function until a new account is added.

Alternatively, you can replace the account with another one from which the app will retrieve transaction data. You can find instructions on how to do that here.

Please note that connecting, accessing, and disconnecting accounts always takes place through a secure interface in accordance with the European PSD2 regulation. Your data remains protected at all times. Littlebit never has access to your balances, transfers, or other sensitive financial information, and it cannot deduct money from your account.

If you still wish to disconnect your bank account, you can do so directly in the app:

  • Open the Littlebit app and go to Settings → Bank Accounts.

  • Select the account you want to disconnect.

  • In the panel that appears at the bottom of the screen, select Delete account

  • On the next page, confirm the action by selecting the button with the same name.

After disconnecting the account:

  • Littlebit will stop retrieving card transaction data from that account.

  • If this was your only connected account, savings will be temporarily paused until you connect another account or renew access.

  • Disconnecting the account does not affect your accumulated savings or any Bitcoin purchases that have already been completed.

If you are unable to disconnect your account or encounter an error in the app, please contact us here. We’ll be happy to help you resolve the issue.
