Why Do I Have to Show Myself on Camera? (Liveness Check)

Modified on Thu, 26 Feb at 4:55 PM

As part of the identity verification process at Littlebit, you’ll be asked to record a short video using your phone’s camera. This step is called a liveness check and helps us confirm that your documents are being submitted by a real person and not by someone using a copy or a photo.

Showing yourself on camera allows us to:

  • Verify that it's really you. The camera helps confirm that a real person is registering, not someone attempting to use another person's documents.
  • Prevent fraud. The video can detect manipulated images or static photos.
  • Increase account security. Together with your ID documents, this additional step helps protect your savings from misuse.

The process is quick and takes only a few seconds. It is completed entirely within the app. Your video is used solely for identity verification and is processed securely.
