What Contact Details Do We Need and Why?

When you create a Littlebit account, we require two basic contact details: your email address and phone number. 

  • Email address serves as your primary login credential. It is also the address where we send account confirmations, important information, and updates. 
  • Phone number is a key part of your account security. We require it primarily to help protect your account.

Your phone number helps us ensure the following:

  1. Two-factor authentication (2FA): For sensitive actions such as withdrawing funds or deleting your account, the app sends you an SMS verification code. This ensures that only you can approve actions involving your savings. 

  2. Additional layer of security: Your phone number, together with your email address, creates an added layer of protection for your account. 

  3. Fast communication: If unusual activity occurs on your account or we need to send you urgent information, an SMS notification may reach you faster than email.

Your email address and phone number are not just contact details. They are essential security tools that help you stay in control of your account and allow us to respond quickly when it matters most.
