The Phone Verification Code Hasn’t Arrived - What Should I Do?

The verification code is a 6-digit numeric code used to verify your phone number. It usually arrives within a few seconds at the number you entered during registration.

If you haven’t received the SMS, please try the following:

  • Check that your phone number is entered correctly (including the international dialing code).

  • Request the code again. Below the code entry field, tap "Resend." You can request a new code once per minute. 

  • Check your signal and turn off Airplane mode if it’s enabled. Turning your mobile data off and on again may also help. 

  • Check your spam or filtered messages folder in your Messages app.

    • Android: open the Messages app and check the Spam & blocked section. If you find the message there, mark it as Not spam and add the sender to your contacts.

    • iOS: go to Settings → Messages → Filter Unknown Senders. If the filter is enabled, open the Unknown Senders tab in the Messages app. Move the message to your main inbox and add the sender to your contacts.

  • Check blocked contacts and SMS filters. If you use a spam-blocking app or a filter provided by your mobile operator, make sure it allows SMS messages from short numbers. 

  • Make sure premium or short-code SMS messages are not blocked by your operator. 

  • Check that your SMS inbox is not full and that Do Not Disturb mode is not preventing message notifications. 

  • If you use a dual-SIM device, make sure the correct SIM is selected and SMS reception is enabled. 

  • Restart your phone. A simple step that often resolves temporary issues. 

  • Reinstall the app. Uninstall it and install it again from the app store.

  • the approximate time when the code should have arrived

  • whether you use a single SIM or dual SIM
