What Is AML and Why Do You Ask About the Source of My Funds?

Modified on Thu, 26 Feb at 9:30 PM

AML stands for Anti-Money Laundering, and refers to regulatory measures designed to prevent money laundering. It is a mandatory process that all financial institutions and service providers working with users’ funds must follow.

In practice, this means you will be asked to complete a short form where you indicate, for example, the source of your income and answer a few basic questions about your financial situation. This step takes place when you reach your first investment milestone and a Bitcoin purchase is about to be executed.

AML checks help protect both you and us:

  • We comply with legal requirements. European and Czech regulations require us to conduct AML checks.

  • We prevent misuse of the service. The verification process helps ensure that the app is not used for fraud or illegal transactions.

  • We protect your account. AML verification helps confirm that you are the person using the app and funding your savings.

We understand that completing the form may feel like an extra step. In reality, it is quick and straightforward and can be completed in just a few minutes.

The information you provide is used solely to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and is processed securely.
